Our Projects
Green Pakistan
With the alarming increase in global warming and the spontaneous changes in climate, the temperatures have been increasing tremendously. Plantation of trees, however small it may seem, is the most important solution for this problem. We started project Green Pakistan, as a step towards this aim. Operating across the country, under this project, we have so far been able to plant around 50,000 plants- and we are continuing to do so. This project is solely connected to Sustainable Development Goal #13 Climate Action and Goal#15 Life on Land.
Women empowerment
Although women empowerment is being highlighted nowadays, the on ground realities have little or no change. We at HAO, plan to try to make a difference in the society, not just through words but through our actions too. Thar is an area that is run by the females, and the burden of breadwinning lies upon their shoulders too. Based primarily in Thar, the aim of this project was to provide knowledge to the females regarding skill development and to provide them with the resources that they could use for practicing those skills too. We have an equal ratio of male and females in our Governing Body and this project is connected with the Sustainable Development Goal #13
The change
This project, The Change, was initiated keeping in mind all our core values. Nothing is more important for a human being than his cultural and ethical moral values and his identity. This project focuses solely on these basic values, which play an important part in maintaining a harmonious balance in the society. We would strive to ensure that every human being is given his or her identity, and all his or her basic human rights. Our focus is on the implementation of morals, and protection of the rights of the differently abled people and the rights of people of different sexual orientations, as well as their mental health. Hem Help
Hem Help Campaign is the Blood Donation Drive of HAO that functions to provide blood for all cases with the sole motive that no life should be lost due to the unavailability of Red Oxygen. HAO is working alongside all the major hospitals and blood banks across Pakistan and its partners are expanding day by day. Goal#3 Good Health & Well Being
Water For All
Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet millions of people around the world are denied this basic necessity. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) aims to address this issue, ensuring “water for all” by 2030. In Pakistan’s Thar region, where water scarcity has long plagued communities, (HAO) has taken a significant step towards achieving this goal.
Food For All
Pakistan Dastarkhwan is a platform provided by team HAO to the needy people, belonging to different cities of Pakistan, where they can get a one-time free meal in a day. The cities in which this project is being carried out are Hafizabad, Lahore, Faisalabad and Hyderabad; meanwhile in Thar, Ghokti, Achro Thar, and Khipro, the food is being provided to the people on daily basis.
Ration Drive
The very first project where all this journey of hard work and commitment began was a ration drive during the Covid-19 pandemic, which was undoubtedly the toughest time humankind had ever seen. During this, HAO volunteers went from door to door and distributed ration packages to the affected families. Around 8768 ration packages were distributed in the span of 14 months
Natural Disaster Cell
During the recent flood situation, our team went to the affected areas of Punjab, Sindh & Baluchistan. We distributed ration bags, mosquito nets, mosquito repellents, clothes, tent, hygiene kits, homemade food, canned food and medicines. We setup medical camps in the areas to provide health facilities. Till date, our volunteers are working there to provide them with food and other essential things.
Thalassemia Awareness Movement
Thalassemia is one of the deadliest diseases to exist. However, most of the population in Pakistan has little or no knowledge about this fatal disease. HAO has taken the responsibility to spread awareness about it and make people realize the pain of those who suffer from it, especially children. Many awareness drives have been launched, alongside a blood donation campaign for this purpose.
